Armenia’s Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan said that discussions on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) remain ongoing. Implementation will later shift to work with provincial and community authorities once the preparatory phase is complete.

“In Syunik Province, we are implementing other large-scale infrastructure programs in which both the province and the communities are involved,” Khudatyan told reporters, citing major projects under the Resilient Syunik initiative, including upgrades to educational, water, and healthcare infrastructure.

He emphasized that the North–South Road Corridor continues to be the ministry’s flagship project, with its largest section currently under construction in Syunik. “In twenty twenty-six, two major projects will be launched — Syunik will remain our main construction direction,” he said.

Turning to the energy sector, Khudatyan announced that twenty point one billion drams will be allocated in twenty twenty-six to extend the operation of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant’s second unit until twenty thirty-six. Meanwhile, preparations for a new nuclear power unit will begin the same year, with eight hundred twenty-eight million drams budgeted for initial design and planning.
