On August 17, Poland excluded Georgia from its list of countries with simplified access to its labor market. The Polish Ministry of Labor explained that the decision was based on the "political situation" in Georgia and the poor "state of bilateral relations".

According to Polish authorities, by the end of 2024, 26,600 Georgian citizens were officially employed and insured in Poland, making them the third-largest group of foreign workers in the country. Simplified access to the labor market had allowed foreigners to work without a permit, requiring only an employer’s declaration and registration with the relevant authorities. Under this procedure, employment was limited to a maximum of two years.
