Pashinyan Flies Through Azerbaijani Airspace
On September 6, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the Press Secretary for the Prime Minister of Armenia, announced that the plane carrying the Armenian Prime Minister had departed for a foreign visit through Azerbaijani airspace on August 30 and returned to Armenia on the night of September 6. She stated that following the peace agreement reached in Washington on August 8, Armenian authorities requested permission from Azerbaijan for the Prime Minister’s flight and received a positive response. "We consider this fact a practical step towards unblocking communications in the region, promoting the peace agenda, and creating an atmosphere of mutual trust," Baghdasaryan emphasized. She also recalled that Azerbaijani planes had long been using Armenian airspace to maintain communication between the main territory of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
