Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone call during which they exchanged holiday greetings and discussed bilateral relations and regional developments, according to the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office.

Pashinyan congratulated Erdogan on the occasion of Kurban Bayramı, while Erdogan congratulated the Armenian Prime Minister on Armenia’s upcoming hosting of the European Political Community Summit in spring 2026. The two leaders agreed to continue their ongoing dialogue.

Meanwhile, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan addressed the state of Armenia–Turkey relations during a parliamentary committee hearing. He acknowledged that while the two countries do not have formal diplomatic ties, their current dialogue is “far more active and effective” than that of many states with official relations.

“Of course, anyone saying it’s time for tangible results would be right,” Mirzoyan told lawmakers during the government’s budget report discussion. He emphasized that while some mid-term achievements have been made, Armenia now expects concrete outcomes.

On the Armenia–Azerbaijan front, Mirzoyan reiterated Yerevan’s readiness to finalize the peace agreement and agree on a date and venue for signing.
