Kirtskhalia Promises Public and Youth Access to UNM Trial Broadcast
On September 3, Irakli Kirtskhalia, the Chairman of Georgian Dream, announced that the party would file a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court to ban the United National Movement, founded by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
Kirtskhalia stated that the lawsuit would be based on the conclusions of the parliamentary commission that investigated the crimes of the Saakashvili government from 2003 to 2012. He emphasized that "our public and, first and foremost, the youth will watch the trial of the United National Movement and its leader Saakashvili in the Constitutional Court live on television."
