On February 10, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, stated that Zaindi Zingiyev, the commander of the Russian Defense Ministry's 78th North-Akhmat motorized rifle regiment, inspected the unit's temporary deployment site near Chasov Yar.

Kadyrov reported that during the visit, Ukrainian forces attempted to strike Zingiyev’s vehicle with a drone but were unsuccessful. "But, as always, they failed. The fighters promptly suppressed the drone with modified REB means. This once again confirms the high level of training of our unit," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

He emphasized that under Zingiyev’s command, the North-Akhmat regiment remains one of the most effective and combat-ready units, ensuring the security of their positions and repelling “any enemy attempts to destabilize the front line.”

As previously reported by Caucasus Watch, on November 27, 2024, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reported an attempted attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on Zaindi Zingiev's vehicle, the commander of the 78th North-Akhmat Motorized Rifle Regiment. The attack, which involved a kamikaze drone, was unsuccessful, with Kadyrov stating that the regiment's fighters responded effectively and no harm was done during Zingiev's visit to inspect his unit in the Artemivsk direction.
