Georgia Declines Invitation to 3+3 Tehran Meeting
On October 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Georgia will not participate in the 3+3 format meeting, which will include three states from the region and three from the South Caucasus. "Georgia is not participating in this meeting, and it has never participated [in this format]," the information added.
Recently, it was reported that on October 23, foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia, and Turkey are planning to hold a meeting within the framework of the "3+3" format in Tehran.
Notably, after the Second Karabakh War, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan put forward the idea of launching a six-nation platform that includes the cooperation of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, and Iran to establish stability and peace in the region.
