Finnish Ambassador to South Caucasus Criticizes Inactivity of OSCE Minsk Group
On September 15, Kirsti Narinen, the Finnish Ambassador to the South Caucasus, stated in Yerevan that the OSCE Minsk Group had long been an inactive and useless structure.
During her remarks, Narinen emphasized, "I think the Minsk Group was a structure that was inactive for quite a long time. It simply existed, but in practice, frankly speaking, it could not be used as a tool for anything."
She noted that the governments of Armenia and Azerbaijan had jointly decided to dissolve the Minsk Group and that "the OSCE happily supported this appeal." The ambassador underlined that time would still be needed for the full reconciliation of the Armenian and Azerbaijani peoples.
