On February 26, Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee reported that trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeded $252 million in 2024, marking a 41% increase compared to the previous year.

Uzbekistan’s exports to Azerbaijan reached over $211.7 million, reflecting a 1.6-fold increase, while imports from Azerbaijan amounted to $40.34 million, representing a 14.4% decline.

Key Uzbek exports included:

• 686.39 tons of other smoking tobacco (with or without substitutes), worth $20.5 million,
• 2,067 tons of refined copper wires, worth $19.7 million,
• 3,723 car bodies, valued at $19.3 million,
• 3,681 spark-ignition internal combustion engines (over 1,000 cc), worth $14.3 million.
   

Azerbaijan’s main exports to Uzbekistan included:

• Nearly 15,900 tons of white sugar and pure chemical sucrose, valued at $13.3 million,
• 2,728 tons of unprocessed aluminum alloys, worth $8 million,
• 2,389 tons of apples, worth $2.2 million,
• 536.9 tons of shelled hazelnuts, worth $1.26 million,
• 502.3 tons of non-aqueous paints and varnishes, valued at $1.07 million.
