Armenia Secures €50 Million EIB Loan for Sustainable Syunik Program
On July 17, Vahe Hovhannisyan, the Armenian Finance Minister, and Teresa Czerwinska, the Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), signed an agreement in Luxembourg to finance the Armenia – Sustainable Syunik program. During the signing ceremony, the parties formalized a 50 million euro loan agreement aimed at promoting the economic development of Armenia’s Syunik region. The program will focus on enhancing infrastructure in key sectors such as water supply, healthcare, and education. The initiative also includes measures to support displaced persons and host communities residing in the Syunik region, with the goal of providing improved living conditions and facilitating integration into the local population.
