Armenia and Azerbaijan Agree on Preliminary Cooperation for Missing Persons Searches
On June 4, Armen Abazyan, Director of the National Security Service of Armenia, announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan had reached a preliminary agreement on jointly searching for missing persons.
Abazyan confirmed to journalists that representatives of the two countries’ commissions on missing persons had held their second meeting. He stated that the sides discussed the fate of missing persons and potential search operations, ultimately reaching a preliminary agreement to continue this cooperation.
"I assess the meeting positively," Abazyan emphasized, though he declined to provide a timeframe for the commencement of joint activities.
